CAT | Gardening
One of the biggest hobbies that people have is gardening. There are many different ways to maintain a garden. It is a topic that a lot of people can spend a bunch of time talking about. I have had a conversation with one person about the effectiveness of different plant food that lasted a few hours. What is really great about the topic is that different methods will work differently in each garden. The person I was talking to said that they had to buy the really expensive plant food in order for their plants to grow up to full potential. I had said that I had used both types before. I had got the cheapest and most expensive plant food and tested to see what worked best. I found that there was not a whole lot of difference. I told this to her, but she did not want to hear it.
Having a good idea when your plants need water is one of the most difficult challenges. All hydroponics systems require the use of water. These systems use water as the main source of nutrient exchange. Watering the plants too often will drown the root system and kill the plant. The interval and amount of water depends on the system being used. Systems which have a low water retention medium will require more frequent waterings while systems which have a medium which retains high amounts of water might only need watering every few days.
The key concept to understand is that although the system consists primarily of water, there can be situations where too much water is a bad thing. Look at the plant to see if they need water. Let the plants go for as long as the leaves remain upright. Once the leaves begin to droop, you can start watering again.
