15 years after the debut “Boxing Helena” Jennifer Lynch returns with a dark and uncomfortable movie. “Surveillance ” is one of those movies that we suggest to search at one of the websites that allow you to watch free movies online, it is a complex mosaic that comes together only thanks to the skill of the director. On a desolate road three cars will cross their fate with that of two ruthless killers.
The first is a patrol car with two stupid and cruel cops, who amuse themselves by shooting the tires of passing motorists and then go and harass them. In the second car there is a nice pair of losers running apparently aimlessly snorting cocaine while listening to stupid songs.
In the third you see a family with a stepfather and the rest of the family. The three cars will suffer severe losses and at the police station led by historian Michael Ironside, two FBI agents, Julia Ormond and Bill Pullman, will try to reconstruct the facts.
There are plenty of Inspirational Quotes regarding the value of failure, but one of my favorites comes from Elbert Hubbard. He writes: “A failure is a man who has blundered, but is not able to cash in on the experience.” Those are some encouraging words for us failures. Or reminders that we’re even bigger failures for not seeing our failures as stepping stones to success. Whatever your perspective, the fact remains that we all have set backs. And how easy is it to just say the hell with it all and head for the bar? It’s very easy. That, however, is what keeps a man under his own thumb. The less you believe in yourself the less likely you are to achieve your goals. The idea, as this quote illuminates, is to perceive these set backs as learning experiences so that you don’t repeat them. A feat I am still unable to grasp.
